Your headshot is the first impression for a casting team and should repressent you authentically.
It’s less a beauty shot but a honest expression of your personality. Character is what makes casting not scroll past you.
Capturing honest personality and expression in a photo takes a safe space where enough time is taken for your needs.
A photo that captivates can’t be achieved by quickly going through different outfits and changes in backdrop colour.
It’s the small changes in the eyes and the subtle alteration in your expression that make all the difference.
We are dedicated to helping capture that personal and individual spark in you. That is what will set you apart.
Everyone is individual and unique, and we take the time to help you embrace exactly that in your photos.
Before the Session:
If you add your Instagram handle to your booking details, we can get an idea of you before you arrive for your session. This will help us prepare for your session to ensure that you leave with the most authentic photos possible. If you do not have Instagram and still wish to send us photos (old headshots are also welcome), you are welcome to email this with a short introduction to us instead.
Your Session:
We start the shoot by talking through what you wish to get out of the session. We will guide you through each step and also give you input on outfits and looks.
After the Session:
Within 48h you will receive a link with watermarked, unedited copies of your photos.
For choosing your photos, we recommend asking friends, family or your agent to help you choose your final edits. This will ensure that you end up with headshots that represent you in the best possible way. It’s less about which photo you think you look the best in and more about which represents you the best and the most natural way.
Should you wish to have our feedback on your selection, you are always welcome to reach out to us.
We strive not to copy-paste generic editing styles onto our clients. Each artist gets their own natural-looking final edit that fits their unique look and colour palette the best.
We only remove or edit elements that are temporary, such as pimples or blemishes. If there are areas or features of your face or skin that you want us to take particular care with, please let us know during your session.
You receive your final edits within 7-10 days.
We frame you in a way that feels natural, compelling, and impossible to overlook as an essential addition to your portfolio.
Dance portraits help you stand out and ensure that the casting team wants to take a closer look at your portfolio.
About the session:
We split the shoot in three categories to help capture you in the best way possible.
The first category is the “posture” - this features a simple outfit you would wear in an audition.
This section includes simple poses that show how you stand and carry yourself in a room, and how you would present yourself before you start the audition choreography.
The second category is the “character” - a more stylised photo, that features a more personal outfit choice that still frames your movement nicely. This is where you show your expressions as a dancer.
The third category is the “skill” - where you can show different dance styles, like pointe work, tap or just something you want to highlight, such as a jump or high leg.
We offer headshots shot on high-end medium format film.
Why we do that?
Because nothing digital captures the essence of a person like an analogue photo.
To this day, many fashion magazines still shoot their editorial sessions on medium format film to achieve that truly unique and magical look.
In order to guarantee the best outcome of the analogue photos we also scan, convert and edit the negatives ourself.
